How it works
From a buyer's portal to a yes or no, in four steps.
Public tech work is posted on dozens of portals, in long documents written for lawyers. StackBid gathers it, reads it, and tells a small team what it would take to win.
-
We find the tenders
Every hour, StackBid takes the new and changed technology tenders from CrewBid, its sister product, which reads Canada's public buyer portals. That includes CanadaBuys and the tender pages of cities, health authorities, school districts and universities. Only tech work makes it through: software, web, IT support, cloud, security, data, networks and IT staffing.
-
We read each notice
Each tender gets a two- or three-sentence summary in plain words, its key dates, and the requirements that could stop a small firm. Every requirement is quoted from the notice, so you can see exactly what the buyer wrote.
-
We check whether you can bid
Tell us once what your firm holds: clearances, SOC 2 or ISO 27001, insurance, Canadian hosting, French, and which supplier lists you are on. Every tender page then answers "Can we bid this?" requirement by requirement: yes, no, or check.
-
We email you what fits
Turn on the weekly alert and each Monday you get the new tenders for your kinds of work and regions, plus anything from buyers you follow. Mark a tender as one you are bidding on, and we remind you before it closes and tell you if the notice changes.
What StackBid can get wrong
- Requirements can sit in attachments we have not read. The official documents always win, so read them before you bid.
- A buyer sometimes posts only on its own website. If you know of one we miss, tell us and we will look.
- Summaries and checks are made by software and can be wrong. Every answer shows the words it came from so you can judge for yourself.
